September may very well be the most beautiful time of year in Seattle. Not only are the kids back in school, but the weather is pristine and everyone seems to be in a good mood. Maybe it's the combination of the two (!)
We have a had 7 straight days of 70 plus degrees, sunny weather as I write this. We collectively just don't know how to act. Sure, summer is in the rear view mirror, but as I look out the window, you would hardly know it.
So if you're in denial about summer coming to an end, I suggest going with that. There are still things to do this month while the weather is enjoyable:
Puyallup Fair: September 5-21. Western WA Fairgrounds

Fremont Oktober Fest: September 19-21 - Fremont
Festa Italiana -Seattle Center
www.festaseattle.com / 206.282.0627
Go out and enjoy!
My best,
LFM

Something to do w/ your September evening! on 9/11
TONIGHT: City Council considers the new tree ordinances.
YOUR PARTICIPATOIN IS IMPORTANT: NEEDED Public attendance and comment in support of improved tree permitting process.
Lake Forest Park is losing our Forest at an alarming rate. Trees are important for storm water/ erosion control (remember the flooding at the Town Center last winter? It'll only get worse if we lose more trees), and provide wildlife habitat, carbon dioxide absorption, shade, beauty and increased real estate values. Click on the City link here and you can find more info on the Urban Task Force recommendations, and send an email if you can't attend the meeting.
